Venue|Tzu-Lung Artist House · TESA Creative Center
Exhibition Dates|July 25–26, 2026
Opening Tea Gathering|Saturday, July 25, 14:00–16:30 (Free Admission)

TESA Creative Center is pleased to welcome its first international Artist-in-Residence of the year, French ceramic artist Mélanie Georget, who will spend one month creating at Tzu-Lung Artist House this July.

This also marks Mélanie's first journey to Asia. Driven by a curiosity about different cultures, she chose to come to Taiwan and immerse herself in the tranquil landscape of Taiwan's North Coast. Surrounded by mountains, forests, and sea breezes, she will dedicate herself to both artistic practice and daily life, engaging in a meaningful dialogue with nature, materials, and cultural exchange.

Mélanie's ceramic sculptures explore the possibilities of minimalist forms and organic shapes. Working primarily with unglazed clay, she preserves the material's natural texture and creates sculptures that are both understated and full of vitality, inviting viewers to experience the familiar from a fresh perspective. In her recent works, the recurring motif of teeth becomes a metaphor for the subtle connections between vitality, memory, instinct, and vulnerability.

We warmly invite you to join us on July 25 for the Artist-in-Residence Exhibition Opening Reception, where you will have the opportunity to meet Mélanie in person, hear about her creative journey during her residency in Taiwan, and experience the inspiring dialogue between art and nature.
