Harrison Hall Residency Art Presentation

Harrison Hall, along with his collaborator, Dr. Sam McGilp (an Australian media artist), is embarking on a new project. This work will explore post-human narratives and the intricate processes involved in experiencing and constructing physical form.

They are particularly interested in coming to TESA (Taiwan's Experimental Sculpture Association) because of its proximity to nature and its rich history in sculpture. Their new work draws inspiration from experiences in organic natural environments, with the human body envisioned as clay, shaped and molded throughout the performance process.

Their creation is imagined as a durational performance involving two people—one performer and one technician—completing a series of complex digital and physical tasks that impact the body. During their residency, they will engage in 3D modeling, motion capture, 3D animation, and choreography. In October, Australian artists Harrison Hall and Sam McGilp are invited to participate in the L Project, an immersive media theater and audiovisual performance event, as part of the 18th Digital Art Festival organized by the Taipei Digital Art Center.
